{Picture Pefect...}

Hello everyone!

I am sharing my September design team project with you. I used a combination of old and new chippies.  I used the Whimsy paper from the Kaisercraft Enchanted Collection. Guest designer Chrissy Tingey inspired me with her beautiful layout on the Kaisercraft blog.

It is Spring in South-Africa, a wonderful season full of light, colour and new life.

This is a true story...

Life is full of surprises!  Early one morning I noticed this little fairy in my garden, boots and all! Fairies are very shy creatures and I only managed to get a photo of this little one from behind, I can just imagine how cute and pretty she must be.  I think she is a fairy in training, as she was still in diapers.  She must be a very special fairy because she was accompanied by Tinkerbell and tiny butterflies.  She must be very fond of my garden, every morning she leaves the tiniest footprints behind, sprinkled with fairy dust...and then I feel so blessed...

Here is my layout.

How amazing are these toadstools?!!  They were covered with coarse gesso, and once dry I painted them with beige acrylic paint.  The coarse parts were inked with Versa Magic in Hint of Pesto and Bronze Age Metallique Wax and the edges with Brilliance ink in Pearl Chocolate.

I covered the Wordpl@y #2 and #4 with white gesso, making sure I get into the letters.  Once dry I dry brushed the words  with Americana Acrylic Paint in Boysenberry Pink and Poodle Skirt Pink. The butterflies and flower buds were covered in the same manner.

The edges of the wood slices were inked with Versa Magic in Hint of Pesto.

The title and word disk were covered with white embossing powder and the spider web with silver embossing powder.

Some close ups.

When everything was glued down I added art stones and splatters of diluted white gesso and black ink.

 These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used.
