{A lifetime is not long enough to love you...}

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog today. My May design team layout features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

 I made this layout to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary on the 7th May.

Here is my layout.

The branches, wildflowers, and wild grass were first covered with cleared gesso and then Distress Oxide in Vintage Photo and Iced Spruce. Press the two Distress Oxide Ink pads onto a craft mat and spritz them with water creating small droplets.  I started with Iced Spruce for the base color and slid the chippies through the droplets a few times and dried them with a heat tool. Repeat with Vintage Photo and dry in between.

The beautiful and perfect title was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I chalked the two bird's nests with Chocolate Versa Magic Ink and the edges with Americana Acrylic paint in Slate Grey. The eggs were painted with white acrylic paint and Americana Acrylic paint in Slate Grey.

The butterflies and polaroid frame were first covered with white gesso and then painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Peaches 'n Cream and Spa Blue.

To color the Wordpl@y words I lightly covered them with white acrylic paint and Americana Acrylic paint in Peaches 'n Cream and Spa Blue.

After everything glued down I added art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{My heart...}

 Hello, 49 and Market fans!

Welcome to the blog today.

For this layout, I used the Painted Foundations Array paper from the beautiful Spectrum Gardenia 12 x 12 paper collection.

Here is my layout.

I matted the photo on a piece of Solids Paper 2.  For the layering of matted the photo, I selected elements from the Ephemera Bits, General, and Essential Laser Cut Elements. These two sets are filled with amazing laser cut elements. The notebook piece at the bottom of the photo is from the Curators Meadow Ephemera Bits and the black piece with the white script at the top of the photo is from the V/A Country Side Ephemera bits. It is amazing how you can mix and match all the different collections. I used the black and red striped tags from the Ephemera Bits to make banners.

To create the layered cluster used pieces from the Ephemera Bits, General, and Essential Laser Cut Elements.  I used a beautiful butterfly from Butterfly Laser Cut Elements, and a  word strip and hearts included in the Ephemera bits. I raised the butterfly with foam tape. I also used a red photo wrap from the ARToptions Holiday Wishes laser cut elements.

 The Spectrum Gardenia collection includes a packet of beautiful chipboard bits and words, and I have glued some of them to my photo and layout as well as elements from the Ephemera Bits and washi tape stickers.  For the title, I used the words My Heart from the chipboard word set.

I cut the red lace included in the Essential Laser Cut Elements into pieces and glued it next to the faux stitching on the Array paper as well as some word strips.

The flower clusters are made up of a variety of pretty blooms, some old and new ones, Leaves, and Floral Laser Cut Elements.  I used the B-side of the Painted Foundations Color Wheel paper and Solids Paper 2 for a few die cut leaves. I also glued the word You onto one of the flowers.

To finish off my layout I added some beautiful epoxy coated sticker embellishments from the Wishing Bubbles and Baubles, Washi Tape stickers, and a few butterflies from the Essential Butterflies 01 Rub-On Transfers. I then added splatters with diluted white gesso and black ink.

{perfect moment...}

 Hello everyone!

Here is my layout inspired by the May mood board which features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

This is my husband and three beautiful grandchildren.

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

The title is perfect for this layout and it was indeed a perfect moment.  I kept the title raw.

The jumbo cogs and cog frame were first covered with cleared gesso. To colour the cogs I used Art Alchemy liquid acrylic in Burn Sienna, Ink Black, and Umber.  With a paintbrush, I added the three colours, sprayed them with water, and dry in between with a heat tool. I dry brushed the edges with white acrylic paint and then rubbed the cogs with Distress Glaze for some shine.

I also added elements from the Wordpl@y #2 set and Mini Tabs #5

 I first covered the seed pods with clear gesso and then Distress Oxide in Iced Spruce and Frayed Burlap. Press the two Distress Oxide Ink pads onto a craft mat and spritz them with water creating small droplets.  I then slid the chippies through the droplets a few times and dry with a heat tool.  I also splattered the chippies with the same colors for a mottled effect.

Foliage #14 was also left raw. Foliage #10 was first covered with white gesso and then painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Coral and dry brushed with white gesso.

After everything was glued down, I added art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.
