{Notice life's small joy's...}

Here is my layout for the main challenge at More than Words.  I was inspired by the word SUNSHINE.  Our little granddaughter Mila is the sunshine in our lives and I chose to document her love for the outdoors.  I also love the colour yellow and had the perfect photo for this challenge.

My journalling on the back of my layout reads:

You don't need any encouragement to play outside. It is your happy place to be.  You literally spend hours playing in the dirt, moving it around and covering yourself in earthy brown goodness.  I love watching you getting dirty, it is good for the heart and the soul, and that is what childhood is about, playing and discovering.  All my flower beds are your dedicated digging area, but I don't mind, I love the little footprints you leave behind...

{Little Angel...}

This is my take on the beautiful mood board for September 2018 over at Dusty Attic.  Here is the mood board :
and here is my layout.  This is my little grandson Janco and his lovely mommy.  My journalling on the back of this layout reads :

Motherhood is a blessing, a gift, a relationship that never ends and a love that never dies. You are doing it beautifully! Motherhood is knowing joy, even while experiencing the hardest trials of life you have learned to rise to any occasion every time, and I admire you for that. You are bursting with mama love. Janco, I pray that you grow up to be strong and sweet and that you know and love Jesus. I pray that this world is less cruel to you than it can be.  But your mommy and daddy will do their best to soften it if even just a little. I pray that you will be courageous, kind, generous and patient. I want you to know how precious you are and always will be.

I used the following products: Dusty Attic title Little Angel, butterflies and leaves. Prima and Celebr8 flowers. Prima and Memory box dies, KaiserCraft and Prima stamps and microbeads. Prima IOD mold and crackle paste. Distress oxide inks and crayons. Thank you for visiting my blog!

{100% Boy...}

Fatherhood is a hard job and a heart job.  It requires strength and gentleness, patience and time.  It requires you to elevate the needs of your children above your own, even if it means jumping on the trampoline with Mila, kicking the ball or blowing bubbles after a long day with a smile on your face. Fatherhood has taught you about unconditional love, and how to be a better person. You are doing it beautifully. I am grateful that Mila and Janco have you as a father. I love watching you be a daddy. I love watching you watch them with wonder. Fatherhood suits you, and I absolutely love how much you embrace this role.
