{Live today...}

Hello everyone!

I am sharing my layout inspired by the August mood board.  It is STUNNING to say the least.  Remember you have till the end of this month to participate in the challenge.

For this layout I am using the gorgeous Vintage Artistry Sage collection designed by Katie Pertiet for 49 and Market.

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

This is how I treated the chippies.

I heat embossed the title with white embossing powder.

The branches were inked in brown and black ink and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

The reeds and the grass cluster were all treated the same way.  The flowers of the reeds were first covered with coarse gesso.  Once dry, I covered the rest of the reeds and grass clusters with white gesso.  The flowers of the reeds were painted with brown acrylic paint and the leaves, stems and grass clusters in shades of green and dry brushed with clay, ochre, gold and white acrylic paint.

I painted the tea leaves with white gesso and then green and gold acrylic paint and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

some close ups.

{Best day ever...}

Hello everyone!

I hope that you are all doing well during these challenging times and taking very good care of yourselves.

I am sharing my August design team layout with you using some beautiful Dusty Attic chippies and featuring the gorgeous 49 and Market Ethereal collection.

I love this photo of my daughter on her wedding day. It was the best day ever.  I have never seen her look so beautiful. It was a special and emotional moment.

Here is my layout.

This is how I treated the chippies.

All the chippies were covered with white gesso, except for the shutters.  I coloured the shutters with Brilliance Pigment Ink in Pearlescent Chocolate and dry brushed with white gesso.

The Iron Garnish were heat embossed with Iced Enamels Relique Powder in Ivory.

For the ombre effect on the title I used Americana Acrylic paint in Boysenberry Pink, White Wash and True Red.

The Wattle Blossoms were heat embossed with Zing Embossing Powder in Leaf and the Leaves #2 with Lindy's Embossing Powder in Weeping Willow Green Gold.  I painted the Foliage #2 with Americana Acrylic paint in Mint Julep Green and dry brushed the edges with white gesso.

When everything was glued down I added Art Stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.

Some close ups.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I have used.
