{little Angel...}

Hello 49 and Market fans!

I am very excited to share my first layout featuring the amazing ARToptions Avesta 12x12 collection shipping early in February. The colors of this collection are beautiful and all the additions to this collection are amazing.

This is my granddaughter the day she was Christened.  This was such a sacred event, and it was a very special day for all of us.

For this layout, I used the Avesta Butterfly Kisses on the left side, the Avesta Precocious (which I flipped) on the right side. The B-side of the Avesta Posies was used for the center of my layout.  The bar strip remained at the bottom, and I trimmed the equivalent off the top of the paper. This paper was also embellished with Stitched and Adverts washi tape from the Curators Essential collection. Wow, all the new washi and fabric tape will take your breath away.  On either side of my layout, I used strips from the B-side of Avesta Delight and Avesta Flutterbies.

This is my layout.

The matted photos were layered on pieces from the Avesta Ephemera bits, laser-cut elements, and tags from the tag set. I also added a photo wrap and bow, a very popular and favorite addition.

I then added rub-ons from the ARToption Avesta rub on transfer set.  You can also see some of the chipboard elements I used here.

 I used a variety of pretty blooms, laser cuts, and die cuts to create the flower cluster. The edges of the flowers were dry brushed with white gesso and acrylic paint. On the rosettes, I glued circle chipboard pieces with the words SWEET and PURE JOY. The Adverts washi tape was then used to cover a few chipboard buttons.

{Days of summer...}

 Hello everyone!

Here is my layout inspired by the beautiful January mood board and stunning Dusty Attic chippies. I used an Allison Davis sketch designed for Scrapbook Generation.

James and his mommy and daddy just returned from a relaxing fun beach vacation.  It was James's first time at the beach. They were so excited to share this new experience with him and he enjoyed every moment as you will see from the photos.

Here is the mood board.

And here is my layout.

The chippies were first covered with white gesso.

The title, seaweed, shells, and coral were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Whispering Turquoise, Desert Turquoise, Calypso Blue, and the edges were dry brushed with white gesso.

The clouds, shells, and fish were left white. Slate Grey was used to dry brush the edges of the clouds.

What is a layout without adding Mini tabs?

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I have used.

Thank you for visiting the blog today.  I hope you find time to play along with this mood board.  Share your projects on our Facebook Page here for your chance to win a $50 (AUD) credit for two lucky winners to the Dusty Attic online shop so you can choose your very own chippies you would like to use.

{cherish yesterday...}

 Hello 49 and Market fans!

My layout features the beautiful Vintage Artistry Mango 12x12 collection. I took this photo of my daughter during one of many photoshoots I had with her. She is one of those girls who look gorgeous wearing any hat. I altered the color cast of the photo to sepia.

For this layout, I used the Saffron Notes paper.

Here is my layout.

I added rub-ons from the Vintage Artistry Teal and Mango Transfers, In the Leaves Transfers, and Naturalist.

The photo is layered over the stunning window and shutter laser cut from the laser cut sheet that is included in the 12 x 12 paper collection and pieces from the Vintage Artistry Ephemera stacks.  I adhered foam tape to this so that I could tuck the orange flowers in behind the shutters.

Here is a close-up of the shutter.  This photo is perfect because my daughter was looking out of a window.    I used Rustic Bloom in White Heron and Marigold, Royal Posies in Sunshine, and Tomato, Royal Spray in Sunshine, Sugar Posies in Fluff, and Sugar Stems in Fluff to create the flower cluster.  The Sugar Posie Fluff flower and Rustic Bloom White Heron flowers were painted American Acrylic paint in True Ochre. The edges of all the flowers were dry brushed with white gesso and gold rub.  I then added distress stickles in Platinum.  I completed the flower cluster by adding foliage die cuts and leaves chippies.

Once I had finished layering the flowers and foliage die cuts, I added Vintage Artistry Mango wishing bubbles and baubles and butterflies from the laser-cut sheet.
