{silly good fun...}

Hello, 49 and Market fans!

For this layout, I used Speckled paper from the Spectrum Sherbet painted foundations collection.  This is a nursery school photo of my grandson.  The photo background matched the pattern paper perfectly.

To create more circles I used a bubble stencil and Distress Oxides in Broken China, Ripe Persimmon, Mowed Lawn, and Fossilized Amber. The circles were stamped with a stitch and dot stamp. I then randomly stamped on the background where I planned to place the laser cut and chipboard clusters.

The photo is layered on pieces from Spectrum Sherbet remnants, The photo is layered on pieces from Spectrum Sherbet remnants, Spectrum Sherbet essential laser-cut elements, and Tidal Wave ephemera bits. I used my sanding block to distress all the edges.  I also added Spectrum Sherbet chipboard pieces.

The chipboard bubbles and bracket are all from Dusty Attic.

To the corners, I added washi tape from the Curators Essential washi tape stitched set.   Spectrum Sherbet essential laser-cut elements and Tidal Wave ephemera bits were used in the two corner clusters.  A heart embossing folder was used to emboss the die cuts with the torn paper border and then lightly sanded.

I finished off my layout with banners, photo corners, and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{I love you...}

 Hello, 49 and Market fans!

There is just something irresistible about the Spectrum Sherbet collection.  I used the B-side of the Washed paper from the Painted Foundations pack for this layout.

On my layouts, I often use pink and red as the colour palette.  While these two shades may seem like they clash, they can be paired together to create an amazingly chic look.

They were still dating when I took this picture of my son and daughter-in-law.

To create interest in the background, I used a heart stencil and Distress Oxide in Picked Rasberry.  A chipboard title, hearts below the title, the black tab stating "happiness is..." and the phrase "you and me" are all from Dusty Attic.

The layers behind the matted photos are made up of the following elements:  Spectrum Sherbet Remnants, Essential Laser Cut elements, Strawberry Lemonade laser cuts, and frame set elements.  I also used two heart tabs cut with my Silhouette and a Vintage Artistry Essentials white clip.

The flower clusters are made up of a variety of pretty blooms, foliage die-cuts, Spectrum Sherbet chipboard pieces, rub-ons, and acetate leaves. I also added beautiful flowers, leaves, and butterflies from the Sherbet Strawberry Lemonade laser cut sheet and elements from the Essential laser cut sheet.

I then added rub-ons from the Spectrum Sherbet Botanicals and leaves transfer sets.

Here is a close-up of the acetate foliage and Dusty Attic title that I have used.

To finish off my layout I added pearls and splatters with diluted
white gesso.

{love this moment...}

Hello, 49 and Market fans!

I want to share another layout created with the beautiful and very popular Spectrum Sherbet 12x12 collection. If I look on social media Spectrum Sherbet is very loved!

This is my granddaughter's cake smash photos.

For this layout, I used the Painted Foundations Prism and B-side of the Sherbet solids Watermelon.  I trimmed both papers at the bottom and glued them together.  The title and balloons are from Dusty Attic.

Here is my layout.

The matted small photo is layered on pieces from Spectrum Sherbet, Tidal Wave, and Strawberry Lemonade frame set. From the essential laser-cut elements I used a pink lace edge, pink notebook edges, a tab, and a ticket.  The photo wrap is from the ARToptions Avesta Laser Cut elements.  I also added Spectrum Sherbet chipboard pieces.

 I used a variety of pretty blooms, Spectrum Sherbet Strawberry Lemonade laser cuts, rub-ons, foliage, and flower die cuts to create the flower cluster. The edges of the flowers were dry brushed with white gesso and acrylic paint.

I then added rub-ons.  I used leaves from the Spectrum Sherbet set and beads and the word SWEETEST from the Tidal Wave transfer set.

Here is a close-up of the title.

To finish off my layout I added beads, Spectrum Sherbet wishing bubbles, and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{little miracle...}

Hello everyone!

Here is my layout inspired by the stunning July mood board, and featuring Dusty Attic chipboard pieces. For this layout, I used the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Color in Blush. This is my granddaughter, Mila, during her newborn shoot

Here is the mood board.  I just love the soft pastel shades.

and here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered in white gesso.
The title was painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Whispering Turquoise.

The Flower Posie #4 is just beautiful. I snipped the posie in pieces, coloured it with Posca pens in Pink Rose and Light Green, and tucked them in the flower clusters.

Foliage #17 and 27 were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Mint Julep Green and dry brushed with Whispering Turquoise and white acrylic paint.

The Ornate Circle was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

The final touches to this layout included pearls, crystal drops, and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{Fun...}

 Hello everyone!

I am sharing my July design team layout with you, using stunning Dusty Attic
chipboard pieces. I used a Scrapbook Generation sketch designed by Allison Davis.

This is my granddaughter having a fabulous time playing in the sand.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered in white gesso.

I used the small floral frame and painted the frame with Americana Acrylic paint in Whispering Turquoise and dry brushed with Pineapple and Poodleskirt Pink.

The words and arrows were also painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Whispering Turquoise, Pineapple, and Poodleskirt Pink and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.  I glued an arrow to each of the words.

Leaves #2 were heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Here I also used a plant label stamped with a flower.

I adore these polaroid frames and they were also painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Whispering Turquoise and Poodleskirt Pink. Behind the word precious, I glued a piece of pink cardstock to make the word stand out more.

 I stamped the plant labels with flower stamps.

The final touches to this layout included art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{the end of a perfect day...}

Hello, 49 and Market fans!

I chose the Painted Foundations Kaleidoscope paper because it reminds me of the sun
rays and the photo was taken just before sundown. The soft, diffused light was magic.

Here is my layout.

The matted photo is layered on pieces from Spectrum Sherbet remnants, essential
laser cut elements, Tidal Wave frame set, and ephemera bits.  I also added Curators
stitch washi tape to some of the elements.

  I used my sanding block to distress all the edges.  It gives a beautiful white edge.
I also added Spectrum Sherbet chipboard pieces and a camera clip to the photo.

Tidal Wave ephemera bits are perfect for clustering. Here's how I used the banners,
circles, and an arrow.  I added butterflies from the Tidal Wave laser-cut elements as well
as a butterfly rub-on from the Botanicals rub-on transfer set.  Foam tape was used to raise
the butterflies.

Next, I added rub-ons from the Leaves and Tidal Wave transfer sets. To create the flower cluster I used laser-cut elements from the Tidal Wave and Strawberry Lemonade sheets.

Here is a closer look at the beautiful title and rub-ons.  I couldn't have asked for a better day.

To finish off my layout I added Spectrum Sherbet wishing bubbles, chipboard
butterflies, and splatters with diluted white gesso.
