{a Mother's love...}

 Hello everyone!

How absolutely amazing is this mood board, and the last one for 2020!

This is a photo of my daughter and her little baby boy James.

Watching my daughter become a mother is an amazing gift.  I am just so proud of
her.

My journaling reads...

Welcome to motherhood, and wow...it looks good on you and you are
doing it beautifully!  Motherhood is a blessing, a gift, a relationship that never
ends and a love that never dies.  Can you believe this is your baby?  How
miraculous is birth? Motherhood knows joy, even while experiencing the hardest
trials of your life. Motherhood is really something you can never be fully prepared
for, but so very rewarding. I am praying that you will be able to savor and enjoy
these early days of getting to know James, and asking God to give you strength
and wisdom not only for these days, but for the years to come. My heart is overflowing
with joy for you and Juan, and with love for little Jamesie.

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with white gesso.
The Floral Frame and Title were heat embossed with Ranger embossing powder in
White and Light Blue.

The stars were all painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Baby Blue and brushed
with white gesso.  Next, I covered the stars with glossy accents and while still
wet sprinkled with Stickles Dry Glitter.

Both sets of foliage were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Royal Navy and
Green Mist and dry brushed with white gesso.

And my favourite, wordpl@y and Quoted Sentiments.

and some close ups.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I have used.

{Dreams do come true...}

 Hello everyone!

What a year, and yet I have so much to be thankful for, a new grandson,
my husband, children and grandchildren are all healthy, I am healthy...so blessed.

I am sharing my December design team layout with you using some stunning
Dusty Attic chippies.  These are photos of my daughter and son in law's
maternity shoot.

"Dreams do come true..." holds so much truth that can be life
changing.  There is something about this phrase that captures me, perhaps
it is because we all have dreams, thousands of dreams and
so many of my dreams have come true, and I am so thankful!

Here is my layout.

I painted the title, heart arrow, tiny polaroid frame, polaroid frame negative and
brackets with white gesso as the base.
Next, I painted the heart arrow and polaroid frames with Americana acrylic
paint  in Whispering Turquoise and the bracket in Peaches 'n Cream.

The tiny polaroid frame was perfect to highlight the tiniest baby's sonar photo.
The subtitle is a digital brush designed by Katie Pertiet.

Both sets of foliage were first covered with clear gesso and then Distress Oxide
in Broken China, Mowed Lawn, Crackling Campfire and Vintage Photo.

Press the four Distress Oxide Ink pads onto a craft mat and spritz with
water creating small droplets.  I started with the Vintage Photo for the base colour
and slided the chippies through the droplets a few times and dry with a heat tool.
Repeat the process with all the colours and dry in between.

I randomly covered the cogs, with coarse gesso, and when dried I covered
all the parts with black gesso.  I then dabbed the cogs with a sponge brush and
Americana Acrylic Paint in Traditional Burnt Umber, True Ochre, Georgia Clay
and
Whispering Turquoise. I dry brushed all the parts with white gesso and added
Art Alchemy Wax in Rich Copper.

I have said it before, but my favourite additions to my layouts are these stunning
Wordpl@y elements.  I dry brushed them with white gesso and then Americana Acrylic
paint in Peaches 'n Cream and Whispering Turquoise.

some close ups.

After everything was glued down I added beads and splatters with diluted
white gesso.

Wishing everyone a joyful, peaceful and healthy Festive Season and
New Year!

{Simply perfect...}

 Hello everyone!

I am sharing my November design team layout with you, and I am using some
stunning chippies from Dusty Attic and a photo of my little newborn grandson James.

There is nothing quite as cute and sweet as tiny little baby feet. I just love baby feet.
Little James teaches me every day to appreciate the sweetness of life that is found
in the smallest moments.  Little baby feet even make kisses sound different.

My prayer for these little feet is that no matter where they take Jamesie
they will be blessed in abundance.  Let's face it, life is a tough journey and our
grandchildren need all the blessing they can get.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with white gesso.

I love this title with the tiny polaroid frame and was perfect for this photo.
I heat embossed the title and polaroid frame with white embossing powder.

The foliage were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Mint Julep Green and
Green Mist and dry brushed with white acrylic paint and lightly rubbed with Vintage
 Gold Metallique wax.

I painted the String Frame with white acrylic paint and lightly rubbed with Vintage
Gold Metallique wax.

My favourite addition to my layouts are these stunning Wordpl@y elements. I dry
brushed them with Americana Acrylic Paint in Green Mist and Whispering Turquoise and Vintage Gold Metallique wax.

The bits of the Heart Attack Panel were painted with Americana Acrylic Paint in
Whispering Turquoise.

After everything was glued down I added pearl beads, gold glitter and splatters
with diluted white gesso.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I have used.
