{You are amazing...}

Hello everyone!

I am back with another layout using the November mood board. I just love the combination of yellow and pink.  My previous layout was soft and feminine.  This layout is more grunge with flowers and cogs.

Here is the mood board.

This young lady is just amazing. She takes my breath away.  She is beautiful, inside and out. She is kind, compassionate and confident. She is honest, funny and thoughtful. I admire her optimism and strength.  She is my best friend and I love her from the bottom of my heart.

Here is my layout.

The title as well as the foliage #16 were heat embossed.  The edges of the mini ABC Tile set were inked with brown ink.  I love these tiles.  They are perfect to use with a single word.

Cogs are one of  my favourite elements to use on a page. The cog frame and gears were covered with coarse gesso, and once dry painted with different shades of pink acrylic paint and dry brushed with white acrylic paint. How adorable are these tulips?  I painted them with pink, yellow and green acrylic paint and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

Some close ups.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used.

{So sweet...}

Hello everyone!

It is a little more than 6 weeks before 2020! Scary stuff! It is okay if you didn't reach the goals you had for this year yet. Sometimes life takes hold of you and leads you in a different direction.  Have faith. I am sure you have reached other goals.  Be kind to yourself, trust yourself and believe in yourself. Do everything to make your life beautiful, even when it hurts, and even when it feels far from perfect. If you have come this far, it means you were strong and you have not given up. Respect and honour yourself.

Here is my layout inspired by the beautiful November mood board.  Jennifer Hedger has selected the most beautiful mood boards for 2019 and this one is no exception. I cannot wait to see what she has up her sleeve for 2020. For this layout I also used some of my favourite  papers designed by Lady Patter Paper.

This is our granddaughter, looking so sweet and peaceful during her newborn shoot.

 I used some beautiful Dusty Attic chipppies. This title is perfect for this little cupcake, she is very sweet. All the chippies, except for the ATC frames and mini foliage were painted with Americana acrylic paint.

These beautiful ATC frames and mini foliage were embossed with white embossing powder power and sprinkled with gold embossing powder. The mini words, cherish and adore were also embossed with yellow and pink embossing powder.

When everything was glued down I added pearl beads and splatters with diluted white gesso.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I hope you find some time to play along with this mood board. Please visit the Dusty Attic online store for more amazing chipboard designs.

{Summer fun...}

Hello everyone!

Sun O'Clock is the new beautiful collection by Lady Pattern Paper.  Visit her Facebook page for more amazing inspiration. I love this collection with the matching chipboard pieces so much.

In August this year my daughter and I had the incredible opportunity to visit the West Coast region to see the spectacular wild flowers in bloom. It was amazing.  Every turn in the road paints an unforgettable picture of daisy-filled valleys, eye-catching succulents and the roaring Atlantic Ocean.

For this layout I used the Flamazing and Lazy Days papers for the base of my layout.

Here is my layout.

 The title was heat embossed with yellow embossing powder.

 The shells were first covered with coarse gesso.  Once dried I covered them with cream acrylic paint and dabbed brown ink on the coarse parts and sides and lightly rubbed with wax.

 I covered the palm trees with white acrylic paint.

For the seagulls I used the beach mask, a finger dauber and black ink. From the cut-out sheet I used some of the phrases and two journal cards.  I also used 2 bar code strips my layout.

When everything was glued down I added art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso and black ink.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope I inspired you.
Happy crafting!

{Believe...}

Hello everyone!

I am sharing my November design team project with you. I am definitely now getting into the Christmas crafting mood and I challenged myself with this OTP project and loved it. My project is filled with so many elements, die cuts, flowers and of course stunning Dusty Attic chippies.

 I used the Christmas Stories collection by Mintay and a wooden embroidery hoop.  I altered the hoop with white gesso, white crackle texture paste and Art Alchemy Wax in Brushed Iron and Vintage Gold.

There is absolutely no question, Christmas is my favourite time of the year. Something magical happens.  It is not just something in the air, it is something in our hearts.  We celebrate Christmas time by surrounding ourselves with our loved ones.  But above all, we celebrate the miraculous birth of Jesus that changed the world forever.

Here is my project.

I embossed the title with white embossing powder.

 I painted these stunning Christmas Ornaments with Americana acrylic paint in True Red and Mint Julep Green and dabbed with gold acrylic paint.

I just adore these bells.  I wanted a rust look on them.  I painted them with Americana acrylic paint in Traditional Burn Umber and randomly dabbed with True Ochre, Georgia Clay and Sea Breeze. I then added some finishing touches with Art Alchemy Wax in Vintage Gold.

The stars were all painted with Americana acrylic paint in Mint Julep Green, Sea Breeze and True Red.  Once dry I covered them with glossy accents and sprinkled with Stickles Fine Glitter in Eucalyptus, Christmas Red and Platinum.

How super cute are the little houses. I dabbed coarse gesso on the cuties.  Once dried I painted them with Americana acrylic paint in White Wash and Sea Breeze and rubbed with Art Alchemy Wax in Vintage Gold.

some more close ups.

When everything was glued down I added gold micro beads and splatters with white gesso.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I used.
