{100% Boy...}

 Hello everyone!

I am sharing my March design team layout with you featuring my grandson James and stunning Dusty Attic chipboard designs.

I am blessed indeed. I have the privilege of looking after this handsome little boy during the day while his mommy is at work and I feel honored that they trust me with their most precious little boy.  It is amazing to see him grow and reaching his milestones, his first smile, first teeth and how he discovered his feet for the first time. Today he started blowing bubbles, so absolutely cute.  Jamesie makes our world more beautiful, and more amazing. This little boy is so loved!

Here is my layout.

All the chippies except for the cogs and gears were first painted with white gesso, then chalk paint and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.  I inked the page pebble with Versa Magic in Aloe Vera.

I randomly covered the cogs and gears with coarse gesso, and when dried I covered all the parts with black gesso. I then dabbed the cogs and gears with a sponge brush and the same colour chalk paint as the rest of the chippies. Then, I dry brushed all the parts with white acrylic paint.

These polaroid frames and Wordpl@y elements are so amazing!

Here you can see how I used the mini tabs.  And yes, this little boy is one of a kind!

After everything was glued down I added splatters with diluted black and white gesso.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I have used.

{Champion...}

 Hello everyone!

I am sharing my project inspired by the March moodboard filled with so many wonderful Dusty Attic chippies, Prima resins and Mitform Casting metal elements.

This is my son-in-law Juan, who loves mountain biking.  The dirt, adrenaline, mental and physical challenge is what makes him tick, and he is always up for a challenge.

Here is the moodboard.

and here is my project.

This large gear was cut out off  thick cork by my husband, as I could not find one in any of our craft shops.

All the chipboard pieces, except the mini captions, were randomly covered with coarse gesso, and once dry covered with black gesso. Next, I painted the parts with using a sponge brush and Americana Acrylic paint in Burnt Umber, Georgia Clay, Tangelo Orange and True Ochre. I dry brushed all the parts with white gesso and Art Alchemy Wax in Rich Copper.

Behind the cork gear I glued a piece of corrugated cardboard that has some randomly torn sections. I covered the corrugated cardboard with black gesso and once dry I painted it the same way as I did the cogs and gears without using course gesso as I felt the torn sections had enough texture.

The three mini captions defines Juan's character so well, and were covered with the Georgia Clay acrylic paint and edged with the Burnt Umber.

I love the Geckos. They were both first covered with clear gesso and then Distress Oxide in Black Soot and Walnut Stain, pressed onto a craft mat and spritz with water and slid through the droplets a few times. Then, dry brushed with Tangelo Orange and white acrylic paint.

The bike chains were painted with Burnt Umber acrylic paint, edged with black ink and dry brushed with Tangelo Orange and white acrylic paint.

Some close ups.

Look at the amazing texture on the cork and corrugated cardboard.

Here you can see the stunning Mitform Casting metal elements.

After everything was glued down I added copper glass glitter and splatters with diluted white gesso.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I have used.

Why not enter the moodboard Challenge yourself?  All you need to do is add your take on the challenge into the comments section on the Dusty FANattics Facebook page for your chance to win one of two amazing $50 Credits to choose any chippies you like.

{Live beautifully...}

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all well.

Here is my first project for March featuring the beautiful Vintage Artistry in Color Collectors Edition Vol 1. This is a photo of my daughter from a few years ago.

For this layout, I used the stunning Paper 1 from the Vintage Artistry in Color Collectors Edition Vol 1. I kept my background simple as it is already colourful and busy.

Here is my layout.

I added a collection of rub-ons from the Vintage Artistry Blush/Sage transfers at the bottom left and top right of my layout. These designs are amazing and very easy to use, and a beautiful addition to any project. Here you can also see elements from the laser-cut sheets that is included in the collection.

I layered the matted photo on paper stacks from the Sage and Coral Ephemera stacks. These pieces were inked and distressed.  I also used a stitched frame from the Sage collection.

To create the flower cluster, I used flowers, laser cuts, die cut foliage and leaves from the Wedgewood Layered Embelishments. For the flowers I used Sugar Posies in Fluff and Tutti Fruitti, Enchanted Petals in Mint, Garden Petals in Salmon and Parchment, Mini Flower Series 01 in Ginger, Country Blooms in Ginger and Pixie Petals in Sunshine. I also used a few Dusty Attic chippies. I painted the Fluff Sugar Posies with yellow acrylic paint.  The edges of all the flowers were dry brushed with white gesso, then acrylic paint and lightly rubbed with gold rub and distress stickles.

My final touches to the layout included Wishing Bubbles in Crush, art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.

49 and Market products used.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

Happy crafting.
