Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Here is my layout featuring the beautiful new ARToptions Holiday Wishes 12x12
collection. This collection is just beautiful.
I can hardly believe that it is almost December. Christmas is without a doubt my favourite
time of the year. It is the season to be jolly. And, if you have children and grandchildren,
then you have even more reasons to be excited about the upcoming festive season.
This was my granddaughter Mila's first Christmas. She was only five months old.
For this layout, I used the Wreath of Hope paper. The wreath and colours on this paper
are beautiful.
The matted photo is layered on various pieces from the Holiday Wished ephemera pack
and laser-cut elements. The green piece is from the Spectrum Sherbet remnants. The
edges of these pieces have been distressed. I added a photo wrap from the laser-cut
sheet and glued a paper ribbon to the photo wrap.
A packet of beautiful chipboard bits is included in this collection. Here is how I made
them part of the flower clusters.
In the top left corner and next to the title, I used rub-ons from the 6x8 set.
Both the title and the stars are Dusty Attic chipboard.
The flower clusters are made up of a variety of pretty blooms, Dusty Attic Mistletoe,
flowers and leaves from the laser-cut elements. I used Majestic Bouquet and Royal Posies
in Tomato, Royal Spray, and Royal Posies in Olive. I painted the Olive flowers with a thin
layer of white acrylic paint and then with DecoArt in Whispering Turquoise. I then dry
brushed the edges of the flowers with white acrylic paint, gold rub, and
Ranger Stickles in Platinum.
The final touches to this layout included red beads, pearls, glitter, and splatters with diluted white gesso.
