{My big sister...}

Hello 49 and Market fans!

Today I have a layout of my precious grandchildren, Janco and Mila.  These two are best friends and love each other dearly.

I used the Curators Botanical Les Fleurs Paper for the background of this layout.  To create the strip in the middle, I used the Curators Essential 4" Washi Tape  Adverts.  The layers were created using offcuts from the ARToptions Avesta collection Butterfly Kisses, Sweet Romance and Flutterbies papers. I distressed and inked the edges.  An edge from the Curators Essential Laser Cut Elements was also added.

Here is my layout.

Next, I added rub-ons from the Curators Botanical 6x8 Botanical and the ARToptions Avesta 6x8 Rub-on Transfer Sets.

The matted photo is layered on pieces from the Curators Essential Remnants. They have the most amazing edges.  ARToptions Avesta laser cut elements and Curators Botanical ephemera bits were also used.

For the flower clusters, I used a variety of pretty blooms, laser cuts, and die cuts. The Majestic Bouquet Mango flowers were painted with a thin layer of Americana Acrylic Paint in Peaches 'n Cream. The edges of the flowers were dry brushed with white gesso and acrylic paint. I added a V/A arrow clip and a few Dusty Attic chippies. I also used wishing bubbles from the V/A Sage collection.

Also included in the layout are beautiful ARToptions Avesta chipboard elements.

Here is a close-up of the Dusty Attic chippies that I have used.

To finish off my layout I added glass beads, glitter, and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{Country life...}

 Hello everyone!

I hope you all had a blessed Easter.

Here is my layout inspired by the stunning April mood board, and featuring Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

I took this photo of this beautiful horse and her cute foal a few years ago when we visited
the Dunkeld Country and Equestrian Estate in Dullstroom.

This is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

I painted the barb wire frame using a sponge brush and Americana Acrylic paint in
Burnt Umber, and Georgia Clay.

The title, paddock fence, pumpkins, and gourds were primed with a thin layer of white
gesso.

I painted the edges of the title and paddock fence Americana Acrylic Paint in Slate Grey
and a brown ink pad.

The pumpkins and gourds were coloured with Versa Magic Chalk Ink in Cloud White,
Aloe Vera, and Persimmon.

Next, I covered the grass clusters, branches, hay bales, and gecko with a layer
of clear gesso and then Distress Oxide in Black Soot, Walnut Stain, and Iced Spruce
and Mowed Lawn.  Press the four Distress Oxide Ink pads onto a craft mat and spritz
with water creating small droplets.  I started with Iced Spruce for the base color and slid
the chippies through the droplets a few times and dry with a heat tool. Repeat with all the
colors and dry in between.

The little nest was inked with a brown ink pad and the eggs were painted with
Americana Acrylic paint in Grey Slate and dry brushed with white gesso.

To colour the hay bales I used the same method as mentioned above using Distress
Oxide in Frayed Burlap and Crushed Olive. I inked the edges with a brown ink pad.

The weather vane and spider web were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Lamp
Black.  Here you can see how I used the quoted sentiment.

The final touches to this layout included art stone and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{Just me...}

Hello everyone!

I am sharing my April design team layout with you.  My layout features a selection
of beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.  I used pattern paper from the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry Wedgewood collection.

We had a wonderful and memorable family photo shoot the week before my daughter
and her family immigrated to Australia. This is a photo of me. This is the first time I have
ever made a layout of myself. I do not have many photos of myself, just the random
snapshot here and there.

Please listen to the words of this beautiful song by Lauren Daigle, You say.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white gesso.

For the Ombre effect on this beautiful title, I used Americana Acrylic paint in Bahama
Blue and Heritage Acrylic paint in French Navy. I added this beautiful and very true Quoted Sentiment.

I covered the Botanical Ringlet with Americana Acrylic paint in Green Mist and dry
brushed it with white acrylic paint.

The three mini titles were painted with white acrylic paint.

The Word Disk, foliage, and grass clusters were also painted with Americana Acrylic
paint in Green Mist, Bahama Blue, Peaches 'n Cream, Sour Apple, and Heritage Acrylic
paint in French Navy.  All the chippies were then dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

Some close ups.

On the background I used rub-ons from the 49 and Market Vintage Artistry
Wedgewood collection.

The final touches to this layout included art stones and splatters with diluted
white gesso.

{beautiful...}

Hello 49 and Market fans!

I have created a layout using the older but still beautiful Vintage Artistry Sky
Collection.  For this layout, I used the Collector paper. The background of this paper
is stunning.

This is a photo of my daughter I took some year ago.

On the left side of the background, I used a strip of Curators Essential 4" Fabric Tape
in Vintage Plaid. The fabric tape is repositionable and very easy to use and creates a
great look.

Here is my layout.

I layered my matted photo on pieces from the V/A Teal Ephemera Stack,
V/A Everyday Ephemera Stack, V/A Natural Collage Stack, and the Curators
Essential Remnants. The banners under the photo and top right corner are from
the V/A Natural Collage Stack.

Next, I added rub-ons from the V/A Sky/Navy and Curators Botanical 6x8 Botanical
Rub-on Transfer set.  The coffee stains are gorgeous.

I used a variety of pretty blooms, and die cuts to create the flower
clusters. The edges of the flowers were dry brushed with white gesso and
acrylic paint.

The final touches to this layout included wishing bubbles from the
V/A Teal collection.  I also added splatters with diluted
white gesso.
