{Christmas memories to cherish...}

Hello everyone!

Wishing you all a safe, healthy and prosperous new year and may your dreams come true in 2021!

I am sharing my January design team layout with you using some beautiful old and new chippies from Dusty Attic.  This layout features my three grandchildren, Mila, Janco and James and they are my absolute pride and joy.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with white gesso.

I used both the large and small Cosmic Swirl.  I used the large swirl under the large photo and with the small small swirl I created my own little town similar to the one printed on the background pattern paper on the left side. Both these two stunning pieces as well as the stars were painted with Acrylic Chalk Paint in Greek Haze and Sky Blue and dry brushed with white gesso.  Next, I covered the stars as well as the stars and circles on the swirls with glossy accents and while still wet sprinkled with Stickles dry fine glitter.

For the ombre effect on the title I also used Acrylic Chalk Paint in Greek Haze and Sky Blue.

These super cute houses were coloured with Distress Oxide in Walnut Stain, Iced Spruce and Black Soot. I wanted them to look similar to the houses on the pattern paper.

I pressed the three Distress Oxide Ink pads onto a craft mat and spritz with water creating small droplets.  I started with the Iced Spruce for the base colour and slided the houses through the droplets a few times.  I repeated the process with all the colours drying in between.  I edged the chippies with Brilliance Pigment Ink in Graphite Black.

The mini Christmas trees and the foliage were painted with Americana Acrylic Paint in Lush Foliage.

I coloured the Poinsettias with Metalique Wax in Vintage Gold and Americana Acrylic Paint in Lush Foliage.

and my favourite Wordpl@y elements.

After everything was glued down I added splatters with diluted white gesso.

These are the Dusty Attic chipboard pieces that I have used.
