Hello 49 and Market fans!
Here is my first layout for July featuring the beautiful Vintage Artistry Essentials 12x12 collection. I used the June sketch as inspiration. This ridiculous cute dude {with attitude} is my grandson Janco. No flowers on this layout, which is quite an achievement for me, as I love flowers.
For this layout, I used the B-side of the Affirmative paper. To create the background, I used several background stamps, brick, chevron, script, alphabet, and arrows. I then primed the paper with a layer of clear gesso. I added color to the background using Distress Oxide in Broken China, Salvaged Patina and Faded Jeans. I used different stencils to add more detail to the background using the same Distress Oxides and finger daubers.
Here is my layout.
Here is a close up of the four corners.
Next, I added rub-on transfers from the V/A Sky and Navy to the background. These rub-on transfers are amazing and includes 6 sheets to choose from and adds so much beautiful elements to the background.
I have framed the 4x6 inch photo with a fame from the V/A Essentials 4x6 File Frame set and an extra tab. For the small photo on the left side, I used a frame from the Square File Frame set and an extra tab. I added words to the tabs from the V/A Sky and Navy rub-on transfers. I layered both photos on elements from the V/A Essentials Ephemera Bits and V/A Wedgewood Ephemera Stack. Here you can also see the Dusty Attic chippies that I have used.
Here you can see how I used elements from the V/A Essentials Ephemera Bits and chipboard stickers.
After everything was glued down, I added splatters with diluted white gesso.
49 and Market products used.
Thank you for visiting the blog today.
Happy crafting!
