{Joy to the world...}

 Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog today.

My November design team layout features beautiful Dusty Attic Christmas chipboard pieces.

This layout features my granddaughter Mila.

I love using Wordpl@y on my layouts.  They are one of my favourite additions to a layout.

All the chippies were first primed with a layer of white acrylic paint and then painted with Americana Acrylic paint.

The stars were painted with Tuscan Red, Green Lagoon, and Sour Apple.  Once dry I covered them with glossy accents and sprinkled them with Ranger Stickles Fine Glitter in Christmas Red and Star Dust.

The title was painted with Tuscan Red and the mini captions with Green Lagoon then I dry brushed the edges with white acrylic paint.

What a cute Gnome and so much fun to paint!  I painted the hat with Tuscan Red and the shirt with Green Lagoon.  For the dungaree, I used a Posca Pen in Light Green. I painted the little nose with Dusty Rose and the edges of the white beard were dry-brushed with Slate Grey.

I painted the Christmas trees with Tuscan Red, Sour Apple, and Green Lagoon.  For the dots on the Gnome's hat and the Christmas trees, I used a white Posca Pen.

I lightly painted the holly with Festive Green and Hauser Light Green making sure I didn't cover the veins of the hollies.  The edges were dry brushed with white acrylic paint. The berries were painted with Tuscan Red. Once dry I covered them with glossy accents and sprinkled them with Ranger Stickles Fine Glitter in Christmas Red.

These Christmas Berries and the Holly Wreath were treated in the same manner as the red stars and the hollies.

The final touches to this layout included pearls, glitter, and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{Ho Ho Ho...}

 Hello, 49 and Market fans!

Welcome to the blog today.

I made this layout using the Christmas Spectacular 2023 Ultimate Page Kit.  These kits are so easy to use, and the paper, layers, and embellishments are fabulous. There's everything you need for fabulous layering, right down to the smallest detail. There is so much more than what is shown in the examples! I followed the instructions but also added my own touches.

I took this photo of my grandson enjoying his Christmas gifts.

Here is my layout.

Lots of layering under the photo using some of the beautiful elements in the page kit.  I used a larger photo and layered the black frame under the photo. The photo is embellished with a word strip from the Chipboard Words set. As you can see, I changed the layout a little here and there to suit my photo.

Under the filmstrip, I glued some of the Christmas Spectacular foliage acetate.  The Merry Christmas rub-on is from the ARToptions Holiday Wishes 6x8 Rub-on Transfer set and the "under the tree" chipboard from the ARToptions Holiday Wishes Chipboard Bits.

Here I used a rub-on from the Christmas Spectacular 6x8 Rub-on Transfer Set and ARToptions Holiday Wishes 6x8 Rub-on Transfer Set.

More sentiments from the Christmas Spectacular Ephemera Bits and ARToptions Holiday Wishes Laser Cut Elements.

For the title, I used Ho Ho Ho from the Christmas Spectacular Chipboard Words.

The final touches to this layout included washi stickers and splatters with diluted white gesso and green ink drops.

{Treasure the little moments...}

Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog. Here is my layout inspired by the beautiful November mood board which features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

All the chippies, except for the bird nest, branch, wordplay, and barb wire frame, were first primed with a layer of white gesso and then painted with Americana Acrylic paint.

I only used a piece of the large barbed wire.  For the rust effect, I painted it with Burnt Umber, Georgia Clay, True Ochre, and Lamp Black.

The small branch and bird nest were painted with Burnt Umber and Arbor Green.

The Wordpl@y was inked with Tsukneko Pearlescent Chocolate ink.

I painted the foliage, wildflowers, and berries as follows :

Foliage #23 with Dusty Rose
Foliage #17 with Arbor Green and True Ochre
Wildflower #5 with Georgia Clay and True Ochre
Christmas Berries #1 with George Clay, True Ochre, Burnt Umber, and dapped with white acrylic paint.

I then cut all of them into pieces, and tucked them into the flower clusters.

{Best Moment...}

Hello, 49 and Market fans!

Welcome to the blog today.

I am sharing my first layout using the ARToptions Spice 12x12 collection. This collection is beautiful.  The colours are vibrant and work beautifully together, even with other collections.  For this layout, I used the Charisma paper.

Here is my layout.

I layered the photo on lots of pieces from the Ephemera Bits, lace from the Laser Cut Elements and I used two frames from the Cluster Kit. I used some of the tickets in the Ephemera Bits and a die to make the tabs.  I love adding words to my photos.  Here you can see how I used the chipboard words, word strips, and word titles.  I also used butterflies from the Spectrum Gardenia collection and acetate butterflies from the Color Swatch Peach collection.

For the title, I used the Best Moment phrase from the Ephemera Bits.

The flower clusters are made up of 4 different flower collections.  The edges of the flowers were painted with white acrylic paint and then coloured according to the paper's palette. I then took the purple and pink leaves from the laser-cut elements, snipped them into pieces, and tucked them into the flower clusters.  I also used foliage from the ARToption Rouge laser-cut Wildflowers, and acetate leaves from the Colors Swatch Peach collection.

The final touches to this layout included washi stickers and splatters with diluted
white gesso.
