{Every photo tells a story...}

  Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog.

My July design team layout features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces.

This is a photo of my grandson Janco and my granddaughter Mila a few years ago. They know how to play.  They know how to fight fight.  Most of all they know how to love and protect each other.

Here is my layout.

All the chippies were first covered with a layer of white gesso and then painted
with Americana Acrylic paint.

I love this title and suits the photo just perfectly.  I painted the title with Spa Blue and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.

I painted the Mint Leaves with Lush Foliage and dry brushed with white acrylic paint.
The polaroid frame was painted Bubblegum Pink.

The Whimsy frame was cut in half and glued between the paper layers.

The ladybugs were painted with Lamp Black and Naphthol Red.
The Plant Label and Heart Candy were painted with Cool Blue and Orchid.

Wordpl@y words are my favorite additions to a layout.
I painted the bracket with Bahama Blue.

After everything glued down I added art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{Everywhere...}

Hello, 49 and Market fans!

Welcome to the blog today.

This is my first layout using the Vintage Artistry Everywhere 12x12 Collection with all the spectacular additional products.

This is my daughter and her husband on vacation in Ireland, in April 2019. These photos were taken at Dunmore Head.

For this layout, I used the Natuaral Wonder and Airmail Artistry paper.  The Wonder paper was cut in half for the sides and glued to cardstock and the Airmail Artistry was glued to the center of the layout.

I layered the matted photos on pieces from the  Everywhere laser cut elements and ephemera bits. For a splash of red, I used some of the red and black frames, banners, and tickets from the Spectrum Gardenia general laser cut elements. I used papers from the Everywhere 6x8 collection paper pack for extra layering. I glued a 4x6 chipboard map frame to the middle photo.

Here is my layout.

I used two clusters from the amazing Everywhere cluster kit on my layout. I added elements from the ephemera bits and chipboard words. The red chipboard word "photos" I used here is from the Spectrum Gardenia chipboard word set.

Here you can also see a cluster I made using chipboard words and cars and ephemera bits.

For the title, I used a sentiment from the 12x12 sheet of rub-on transfers. I also added rub-ons from both sets of 6x8 Everywhere rub-on sets. On the journal pieces, I also used postal rub-ons.

The final touches to this layout included wishing bubbles, baubles, washi stickers, and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{Simple and perfect...}

     Hello everyone!

Welcome to the blog. Here is my layout inspired by the July mood board which features beautiful Dusty Attic chipboard pieces. The mood board reminds me of Autumn. Such beautiful warm colors.

Here is the mood board.

and here is my layout.

I first covered the Stump, wild grass #1 and #3, the toadstools, and grass clusters #1 and #2 with clear gesso, and then Distress Oxide in Black Soot, Walnut Stain, Iced Spruce, and Mowed Lawn. Press the four Distress Oxide Ink pads onto a craft mat and spritz them with water creating small droplets.  I started with Walnut Stain for the base color and slid the
chippies through the droplets a few times and dry with a heat tool. Repeat with all the
colors and dry in between. I also splattered the chippies with the same colors for a
mottled effect.

The Fern Fronds were first covered with white gesso and then painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Hauser Light Green and edged with a brown ink pad.

The flowers of the Reeds were first covered with coarse gesso.  Once dry, I covered the rest of the Reeds with white gesso. The flowers were painted with Americana Acrylic paint in Burnt Umber, Georgia Clay, and True Ochre brown acrylic paint. The leaves and stems were painted in Arbor Green and Hauser Light Green.  I then dry-brushed the Reeds with white and rust acrylic paint.

I covered the Wood Slices with a brown ink pad and the edges with a black ink pad.

For the Ombre effect on the title, I used Plantation Pine, which is the darker color at the bottom, Arbor Green in the middle, and Hauser Light Green at the top.

After everything glued down I added art stones and splatters with diluted white gesso.

{Magic time...}

 Hello, 49 and Market fans!

Welcome to the blog today.

I am sharing my large Spiral Notebook from the Spectrum Gardenia collection. I also used elements from the Color Swatch Ocean, Lavender, and Blossom collections.  These colorful photos of my daughter and her best friend are perfect for this collection.

I have decorated the front and back cover using a frame, buttons, and tabs from the General Laser Cut Elements, and Ephemera bits.  I used the butterfly packaging from the Chipboard set behind the frame. I used chipboard words and elements from the Chipboard Words Set, as well the Chipboard Set.  The photo wrap is from the Color Swatch Blossom Laser Cut Elements, and the lilac doily is from the Color Swatch Lavender Laser Cut Elements. A few rub-ons were added from the three Color Swatch collections.

I made the dangle clipped to the spiral using ribbons, charms, and beads.

On all the pages I used strips of Curators Essentials Letterbox washi tape.  On all the tabs I used the palettes from the Gardenia 6x8 Botanical rub-ons.  All the photos were matted on black card stock.

On all the photos I glued lace trims included in the Essential Laser Cut set.

Using the ephemera, laser cuts, and a few filmstrips I have layered the different pages using the main color of the page, adding black and white elements.

After everything was glued down, I added Wishing Bubbles and Baubles as well as splatters of diluted white gesso.
